Back in April of 2007 I bought a nice Royal 801 on ebay. I never added this machine to my collection because I gave it, along with a partial set of attachments, to my daughter, who needed a nice vacuum.
Moving ahead to this Christmas, her husband bought her a new Bissell, so she brought the 801 back to me. It runs great and will also look good after I go over it wit Mother's Mag.

Hey Jeff
At least you got it back. You would have really been upset
if those two young ones had thrown it in the trash !!
Hang on to it, they'll be needing it again, in a year or two!

Prodigal Vac

And there was great rejoicing when it came home!!

Norm, do you really think the Bissell will last them THAT long (LOL)? I've seen it, colorful plastic, small, looks like a toy!

When you told me this Jeff,

I knew immediately that we had a set of quads now. I am sure that yours matches at least one of mine. Mine are as you know all from different production runs and have many differences even tho they are all 801's. I am anxious to see it. Looking forward to going down to see Norm with you soon. Jim

Here's a Photo

This is my 801 Royal, the "vac that came back." It runs great but needs a good polishing when I have time.
