Yes, I can see how it would fit over or more likely slide into a front belt access hole slot thingiedoodle...directing the hose attached out from the front of the machine.

This is a good place to post the User Manual for the Electrolux 89E, now officially with the electric triggerhose and the new improved Dul-Purpose hard floor & carpet - very low pile of course - nozzle. I don't think it's been posted before. Note date Oct 3 1973 beautifully written on the front cover.

At a skimpy 8 pages it's almost an embarrassment next to the earlier 18 page 89 Manual.

What was happening at the Company to cause such a downsizing of the manual, Doug?

Mystery dustpan attachment...

Dave, could your mystery attachment belong to a Black & Decker Collector hand vacuum? It looks to me like it adapts the nozzle end of one of those to accept a hose for using a crevice tool or the like. It looks about the right color for the Collector or a similar hand vacuum.
