I've been working on downsizing my collection, so i figured i'd try to find "good homes" for the eliminated.

I'm not familiar with shipping vacuums, so if you would inform me of how you would like me to package your vacuums that would be wonderful. I will probably be shipping through the USPS, because that's the closest place i could ship through.

If you think the price is unreasonable feel free to make an offer. If you want to see more picture, or maybe a video, my email is listed on my profile.

First up, a central vacuum motor, Ametek model 115334 7.2 dual stage tangential bypass. It was purchased on 8/24/12 from central vacuum online for an old Broan i picked up. It has less than 3 hours (estimated) usage, as you can see the fans are still very clean I would like to get $30+shipping for it.

And a central vac hose

Hanmi 30 foot electric hose with pigtail connection $40+shipping. A floor model purchased from a vacuum shop it's still in very good shape, and it hasn't seen too much usage. It is a 1 3/8 hose. The brown cord at the bottom is from an inlet i would attach directly to my centrals in order to use it (i used them freestanding since we don't have central pipework installed)

Riccar 1700

The powerhead has issues with thicker carpets it trips the breaker shutting down the head. I've replaced the breaker and it still has issues with it. The bare floor tools velcro has peeled a little bit and tends to fall off the wand. It also has some deep scratches on the power nozzle cover, and it's missing the crevice tool.

Royal

I think it's a model 997, newer brushroll (square ends) it does have a little bearing noise. It's been adapted to take kirby bags, which is easily reversible if you'd prefer to use Royal style B bags. 15+shipping

Electrolux Olympia

Power nozzle cover is scratched. It's had an issue with the brushroll since i've had it i've replaced the brushroll and it still seems to have like a "snag spot" where it becomes difficult to turn. The brushroll hasn't ever seized while running though. 7 perfect hepa bags will be included. $30+shipping

No price on the Riccar 1700?

The Shop Vac Mighty Mini is interesting. Did Shop Vac make it in the US or was it another brand vacuum with the Shop Vac name on it? Does it say where it's made? Are bags available for it? Any wands or floor tool with it?

Sorry

I guess i forgot to price a few $60+shipping for the riccar would be nice

As for the shop vac it doesn't say where it was made it does say Shop vac corporation williamsports, PA at the bottom of the label *shrugs* the only parts i have for it are a hose and upholstry tool, i'm not sure if they still make bags they had a pack in at my favorite shop though. so minus the one in it there's still two left

The Royal you call a model 997 would be either a 992 or 993 if it has the 6 amp motor and 6-blade fan, or a model 994, 995 or 996 if it has the 7 amp motor and 9-blade fan. If it is a 994, 995 or 996 it can date no later than about August 1990.

Also curious if the F-Handle on the Hanmi hose fits a Kenmore/Hayden wand or if it requires a specific wand? Is there an off/on switch on the handle? Does the brown cord connect to the wall end of the hose or somewhere else? I take it the brown cord provides power for the floor brush?

.

Ben: The royal is a 993

Phil: That i don't know i do not own hayden wands, i've been using it with the telescopic wand from my silver king. It has a three position switch (off, vacuum on, vacuum+powerhead.)The brown cord is for the low voltage system i would attach the inlet directly to the central vacuum since we lack the pipework for one. The actual pigtail for the hose is white.

Rob: i'll have to get back to you on that, i'm not really sure if it can be dissasembled or not and i don't currently have a box large enough for it.

Well....

Rob the price i'm getting for a 23x14x10 box weighing about 20 lbs is $123.69 it didn't ask for a postal code that's just the rate "to canada"

Rex: shoot me an email we'll get the details sorted out.

Blackheart, thanks for your reply. I will send you an email this afternoon to get the transaction for the Royal started. Also, if nobody else has claimed it, I am also interested in the Patriot powerhead.

Rob

Rob

No one else has inquired about the powerhead and i can probably fit it in the same box to save on shipping cost. I'm guessing royals are very rare in canada? I'll be out this afternoon but i'll respond when i return

What is a "low voltage system" on a central vacuum? Is the hose switch operating at line voltage or something else? Is this a two, three or four wire hose?

The floor brush with your Royal vacuum is identical to my Hayden Deluxe, but I can't see what the connection at the top of the wand looks like to judge whether your hose end would fit a Kenmore or Hayden wand. Panasonic made those floor brushes for a bunch of different companies as well as selling them with their own vacuums.

Low voltage

Is what activates a central vacuum. This is one the unit is turned on an off remotely. These hoses use four wires. It has two seperate circuits. One for low voltage and one for 120v to the power nozzle. Centec manufactors those power nozzles as well as many of the hoses. Royal uses a proprietary fitting that's not interchangeable with anything else. The neck and wiring could changed to a standard Hayden style but it wouldn't work with the royal.
