I got my pack of belts for the '77 HOOVER Ranger in the post today, fitted one, and the Ranger roared back into life again.
You can tell it is a genuine belt, because I almost had a hernia trying to pull it onto the motor pulley!
The belt that was fitted when I got the cleaner was obviously a cheaper brand because when I took the brush roll off to clean it and put it back on again, the belt was super easy to pull on.
The bottom line is - Even though it will take 20 minutes to fit, you should always get a genuine belt if you can, as it will last longer and the extra cost will pay off in the long run.
