Chris,
The Freemotion isn't great performance wise using straight suction, but add the turbo heads and they do a reasonable job.
The bagged versions are so much more powerful than the bagless, plus they're lighter and quieter. The telezoom tube is a very good idea, but you have to put your foot on the floor head to adjust it. The demo video is very misleading in that respect.
The three in one nozzle, first seen on the Sensory I believe, is a complete waste of time, especially if you try to clean stairs or upholstery with it. Models with the small turbo head are the best bet as it cleans stairs and upholstery well, especially pet hairs. I would have prefered Hoover to have offered a set of three tools similar to the set provided with the Telios and a clip to secure it to the hose.
The front and side clean nozzle is another good idea, but not a good nozzle for carpet cleaning, especially pet hairs. Again, the optional full sized turbo nozzle does a good job. This nozzle is very similar to the ones supplied with current Sebo cylinders.
So get a bagged Freemotion, add the two turbo heads and you have a decent vacuum cleaner. Put it next to any Miele though, and it's shortcomings become very apparent. It looks very stylish though, especially the bagged versions and it has a few interesting design touches like the flap that raises when the cleaner is on, a lovely action when you press the bag door release button and the handle telezoom tube. Treat it with kid gloves though, as it's lovely finish is scratched very easily, revealing plain plastic underneath.
So to sum up, get the Freemotion as a piece of Art to look at, but don't use it as your main machine.
