Hey everyone,

A friend of mine has just bought one of the new "Lewis" Numatics. They're based on the new spec under the new legislation.

Some points to note:

- they're 580w single speed
- the floortool is a Wessel Werk tool, similar to a Miele floortool
- super quiet
- suction is less than the 1200w models, but not enough to hinder performance and it still spins the Airo brush.

I do appreciate Numatic vacuum. I have a George wet and dry and it is brilliant. These ones will be a great collectors item if they are doing limited number of them or 1 year production run. They are very solid well made machines built in England. Shame others couldn't stay as well

Hello

I liked the look of these the minute I saw them but I didn't realise they were to the new spec' so I didn't think I'd bother getting one (seemed too like the one I have). I was instead waiting for the new ones with the new motor to come out.

Therefore thanks so much Turbo500 for giving details. As that new motor & lack of "Autosave" switch clinched it for me. Order placed 20 minutes ago, all being well I collect him on Saturday :-)

I'll let you know what Lewis is like (hopefully good !)
Cheers
Dave

Yes, John also comes with the turbo brush.

No idea on the air watts I'm afraid, sorry. Technical data such as airwatts doesn't really mean anything anyway, as there is no consistent measuring method in place. This will shortly be a thing of the past with the new EU legislation.
