Congratulations Tom!

And best wishes in your new shop and museum! I know you'll do great there! Sorry to hear about the way Tacony treated you, but looks like you're on the way to doing something much better.

Never been to the museum-Hope the new shop does well-should if you are carrying 'Lux.Maybe you should be a NSS dealer as well to cater to commercial customers.Glad you still have the 100th anneversay "Pig".Hope you can get your other vacuums back-after all they are yours and still should be.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes. Tacony has gone to hell with the change in management. They have fired so many people at the factory it’s not even funny. There is no plant manager, no quality control engineer, not even a secretary for when people come in the door wanting to fill out an application. They are down to 70 people making vacuums. Most of their new models are made in China and shipped over here. I’m glad to be gone. I sure do like the fact that I’m going to be selling Electrolux. They have been around for more than 90 years. They’re still made in Bristol Virginia, including the motors. None of this hogwash about being made in the USA, and all of the parts being made in China. The only thing American made about a simplicity vacuum is the plastic.

On a very positive note, I have more than enough room to host a vacuum conventions again. Tacony Corporation hates vacuum collectors. They banned me from ever hosting another convention. They can’t stand vacuum collectors. That fact is actually in writing.

The new Museum of vacuums is open to every vacuum collector. Please consider stopping by at some point in the future and taking a look at 100+ years of vacuum cleaner history.

Congratulations Tom!!!!!!

I'm so looking forward to my trip this Fall to see your museum!!
I know that my collection will have a GREAT home!! Best of luck to you!!
Best,
Eric

Tom, congratulations on the new venture!!!.. Much needed change can be a good thing, and I think you'll be really good at it. You stood your ground for what you believed is right and that's always the right thing to do.

I was completely unaware of all of the drama going on at Tacony and it's great that you won't have to deal with it anymore. I hope one day you'll get your collection back, and even if you don't, starting over fresh is never a bad thing.

Here's to a new beginning and wishing you good days and big success ahead!
Cheers!!!

Tom

Best wishes with the new museum! I really enjoyed the time you gave to me, Tania and Duane in the past at the former location. Tania and I recently talked about making a trip to see you sometime this year. We will definitely look forward to seeing YOUR museum that you solely own and operate.  Goodbye Tacony and hello Lux.

After seeing you Lux Guardian Platinum, you may remember that I bought a NIB one and it is now one of my favorite vacuums.  It will be great to see the Lux lineup of products at your vacuum store.

I'm hoping there might still be a few things you will sell

.  There was a certain MW upright that I still remember and pine for!

I'm a newer guy on this site, but I'll throw in my congratulations as well!  I wish your store and museum was near me in Oregon!  I'm not fully aware of the stuff going on at Tacony or your situation with them, but it sounds like you are off to a great new start!

So, how can we order shirts from you?  Will you have a website?  At some point, I've been wanting to get an Aerus upright (I already have an Olympia and an XXX).  I would be happy to go to you first, if you can ship.

Since Aerus owns Tristar, would it be possible for you to offer them as well, or are they restricted to door-to-door only?

Im glad

We got to see the museum, but im more thrilled you are getting back out on your own,,I have no doubts you will excel, I can personally testify to Toms integrity, I have known him 25 years and have got many machines from him, you can buy from him with confidence, We are proud to call him a friend.

Congratulations on the new location!

I am sorry to hear about tacony doing that! It’s quite a shame that happened. My good friend and I are planning on visiting this summer. We’re both curious. Are the Vacuums able to be used? Also, still have the bisons?

We are currently setting up our website and our Facebook page, where people will be able to order T-shirts as well as vacuums, parts, and bags. We are rebuilding the museum of vacuums, once I get my machines back from Tacony. They all run. Including the bison. I will be proud to host a vacuum collectors convention next year, as I have more than enough room at the new store/museum for everyone. We open May 1.

Congratulations, Tom!! I have a few items left from my collection that I discovered unpacking after the move. You may want them for the new museum.

So sorry Tacony kept so much of your collection. But why? If they hated vac collectors, what did they want with your collection of vintage cleaners? Was it just spite? What will they do with them? Just wondering?

Perhaps I'll get up there this summer. Would like to.
Blessings,
Fr. B
