Hey Citroenbx,

What are the end caps like on the end?

There were three versions, the C like style, the D style (which I have never seen, and I am wondering if this is them) and the commonly O style.

I don't know the actual part number, as you have probably realised. I am using the alphabet to refer to the shape of the protrusion on the end cap. It's been a long day and my brain is wanting to stop functioning :)

Does the brushbar's plastic stick out? where did you get that Dyson? how many rows of bristles does it have?

the brushes stick out for 20 year old brush bar

p.s this dyson can pick up the rug

it has got a new sole plate

4 row's of brushes

this can make sugar bounce on the carpet like old hoover

Highly unlikely without beater bars. I've yet to see a cleaner without a beater that will make anything bounce on a carpet as well as a Hoover. I'll believe it when I see it.

Chris, Do you think the DC65 brushbar might be good? Because it does stick out and the bristles are stiff.

Do you think the DC65 brushbar might be good?

I honestly couldn't say Tayyab. I've not seen one in person or been able to try one out yet, I'll come back to you once I've had the chance to use one :).

PS That DC65 head you have is not sold in the UK anywhere, and it never has been either (hence my amazement)

I owned a DC65 for a hot minute

The brushbar is definitely one of Dyson's best. It's diameter is larger than the DC41, but I don't necessarily think the agitation is better than that model. The brushes stick out much farther than most Dysons, so it leaves nice carpet lines, and picks up lots of fine dust and grit. One area where the DC65 really excels is hard floors, which it simply does an astonishing job on. The DC41 has a tendency to glue itself to my laminate bare floors, but they redesigned the sole plate opening, and on the DC65 that is no longer the case. It's an impressive machine, and certainly one of Dyson's best-cleaning models, but there were some issues that made it hard for me to justify what I paid for it, so I exchanged it, and picked up a DC41 on clearance. Both are very fun to waltz around the house.

Probably the most baffling issue is that the hose end kinks itself when cleaning stairs, which I have never seen on a Dyson upright before. So after like 8 steps, the hose kinks, and the tangle-free turbine tool comes to a stop. For what they charge, I expect Dyson to have issues like that ironed out.

Did anyone see Dyson is launching a new version of the Digital Slim in the US, with a much better cleaner head? DC59 Motorhead. Looks amazing!

Cool!
I want a vacuum that removes the most dust, or one with the best beater bar and enough suction to lift the carpet
PS Citroen BX I ope you dont mean the tangle free turbine head? I would like to see some pics as these are not in the UK yet

Are you listing all the things a Dyson doesn't have, or.....
