and a toothbrush and my new can of SD-20.

I plucked this filthy but serviceable Hoover rubber coated wheeled floor nozzle from Crevicetool's pile of NC57 bits at the Convention. I have a brown one with my Aerodyne 51 yet always wanted one for the Constellations, too. Never found one around here; perhaps they were not a Canadian Hoover accessory?

So, for $5 for a big bag of various parts and bits on the last day I could not resist no matter how far gone it appears.

First I went at it with a wet rag & dishwashing liquid, as a test. All that did was smudge the schmutz around.
Next out comes the Magic Eraser and plain tap water.

Now we're getting somewhere...

Wow! Beautiful!

That is such a beautiful floor tool..  One of my favorite rug/floor nozzle designs!  I wonder if some of the new Dyson rug/floor nozzles take some of their design cues from that Hoover nozzle.

Yes Sir, Mr Clean. Exactly what I have in mind.

I have today off until 6PM so at last I am opening up all the boxes of stuff from the Convention, rediscovering what I gleaned and setting up a group shot, one of my ribbons & trophy machines and another of the new treasures.
I ain't nowhere near done posting convention shots over in off topic. stay tuned.
Speakin' of Mr Clean, I do believe we have a lookalike contest winner in massagemiracle's former avatar. Just sayin'...works for me. :-)

Are those the arms of a 51 year old dedicated Power Lifter?

Holy Crap, that thing looks AMAZI NG!

I thought it was supposed to be brown but just had some dirt on it! Great results.

Davey (and the others),
You might want to test Mr Clean if you plan to clean a colored surface - it contains bleach and will remove pigment - I know as we used to use it at the hotel and now have light blotches on the wall covering. Test it first. I use Scrubbing Bubbles aerosol - spray on, leave a few minutes and wipe off. Works great on on colored plastic and painted metal. It even works on bathrooms!!! By the way, that floor nozzle looks amazing - I saw it at the convention and left it behind (I
have one but not as nice). Great seeing you in Mpls.
Cheers, Tom

Magic erasers are great. I detail cars and use them on light colored plastics and leather, nothing not even very strong chemicals clean deep down like they do! Great on leather and gentle too!

Yes, I've seen it begin to remove surface colour if you bear down. When I was having a first go at the pink-top Lewyt Zephyr I stopped and lightened up my stroke. Switched to the SD20 and finished the job - no pink on the rag.
See, the magic eraser is a synthetic neoprene sponge that has a rubbery abrasive grip that removes the schmutz and a micro layer off the surface. That's how & why it works so well...and leaves a dull look behind. A good paste wax polish or Pledge wipe returns the surface shine.
Like any spa method, it must be used judiciously as the situation dictates.
I find magic eraser removes more completely and swiftly with less damage when soap & water or lighter fluid just doesn't cut it.

Not so sure about smart but I know I ain't overly dumb. ;-)

Will be trying out the SD20 on the car this weekend when I vacuum and detail it from it's 3400 km road trip. There will be a review, promise.
