Thank you Paul, I was about to think that my post, connected to the older one, just didn't raise any attention.
The reason why this particular Hoover model is so important for me is because when I was about 4-5 years old, there was one in my primary school, used to clean the carpeted play area, with a more common White and blue Senior U 652, a White and blue Hoover Constellation and an Ivory/green Hoover shampoo-polisher used every now and then. I made a drawing of that "aggressive looking" black and orange vacuum cleaner and was amazed by that large black bag with bright orange Hoover logo, I was so fashinated that it became one of my dreams machines. The sorry point was that model U 4082 was extremely rare and in many years of collecting I never got the chance of finding one. However you can imagine how happy I can be now!
Greetings from Milan

Happy for you Tommy,

ten years was a long wait but I'm sure getting it was worth it! Just curious, how did you find it and how does it run? I'm sure just hearing the motor run brings back even more memories. Good for you. Are there any other machines out there that you'd like to add to your collection? Congrats and Happy Hoovering, Billy

Dear Billy, thank you very much!
Actually, counting well, I've been looking for this particular vac for 30 years...It just happened on a lucky night, we had guests for dinner and one of them brought a 45 years old bottle of a great italian wine, we opened it and, guess what it was excellent so I thought I could be even luckier that night. I just opened an app where I usually look for vacuums and something black and orange hit me: "Here it is! Got it!EUREKA" I screamed!I Immediately contacted the seller who replied immediately and organized immediate payment and delivery.
The pictures I posted were taken the night I disassambled and cleaned it. Everuthing was fine and it sounded great. With that large bag airflow is incredible but dirctly proportional to poor filtration, well you can't have it all.
I think I will replace the bottom bag housing with one from a standard Hoover senior with bellow and bag adapter and will fit a large microfilter ( Kirby bag or so) and I'll have fun using it. It's not yet sitting in my collection, I want to keep it in my apartment in Milan for a while, just to have it around.

There might be other vacuum cleaners I'd like to add to my collection but nothing I really want too bad, so I wait, I'll come across it along the way, by chance, as it happened many other times!

Greetings
Tommy
