Hey guys
This is about as rare a 60s Senior as you will find. It was supplied by Hoover to commercial users on contract hire and the dealer responsible for their regular servicing was given first refusal when the contract expired. This is the only one I have seen on Ebay and in not aware of any others out there. I am also lucky enough to have the contract version of the U4002 Ranger of which I only know of one other owned by Al (Vacbear58)

The main differences...

1 Grey Hammertone chassis and nozzle plate
2 No Dirtsearcher and no provision for one instead a grey blank.
3 Heavy duty extra long lead and metal 912 style hooks.
And a couple of minor differences.... This would have also had the option of a shake out bag ( my U4002 has this )

Very funny

Black and Orange

Indeed there was Chris, although it was 652 style rather than Ranger. I have a recollection of seeing this in a vacuum feature in Ideal Home circa 1992 - it seemed strange to see the older style cleaner so long (nearly 20 years) after it had been dropped from the main line - at that time I was not aware of how many exclusives hoover had produced in the 1970s and 1980s

Thanks for confirming, Al. I know Richie has one that Ryan has posted about before and I thought it might have been a contract cleaner like this one.

I used to go to a playscheme in the summer holidays at a church hall in Saltaire. They used to have that black and orange senior alongside a Premier Mini, but they never used it - I just remember seeing it stood in a corner in the cloakroom, covered in dust. I had no idea they ran as later as that!

I have the italian version

Hello!
Here are the pictures of mine, I bought it 15 years ago and I really didn't know it was so rare. Rare? at least I have no paperwork showing it, despite its later commercial descendents that had different bags, different colors etc, different names......
