I picked up a Filter Queen 360 and when working on it I was able to see the motor number on it when i found the data sheet on this I was surprised to learn that these are a 5.1" instead of the typical 5.7. Many of us already knew it was a single stage but until now I never knew they had a smaller diameter. I'd imagine this was done both for weight and production cost reasons, but I may end up installing a 5.7 motor at some point. that was my initial intent.

I will have to look at my 360 and see what size it has. I don’t use it much, i only got it with the unit and hose. The PN port shows signs of arcing so I’m guessing that’s why the previous owner got rid of them. I have used it with a non matching PN set up but I vastly prefer my chocolate brown unit. The 360s motor is very unpleasant to listen compared the old 2 stage. The whole unit feels flimsy too in comparison. I’d be curious to know what the difference in airflow/water lift is between the newer and older units.
