The Fantom Vacuum Story

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I wish my fantoms were in nicer condition. I love the design and power of the thunder, but the weight of the fury certainly makes it easier to use. I'm really hoping that some aftermarket company will come along and make a better brushroll for the fantom vacuums. The bristles don't seem stiff or long enough. For me, the fantoms are a nice display part of my collection, for I don't usually call upon one to do my house cleaning.

Hi guys I'm new here, trying to figure out the gist of this site, I'm so glad I came across it. I have a bunch of new fantom lightnings and destinys (4 slightly used/like new after I clean them up!) I thought maybe I could start a thread and post pics of them all before I sell them, and figured maybe some of you would like to see em, but I'm not sure how.

If anyone has interests in seeing them and has suggestions it would be quite appreciated.

Thanks

(I have one original box left, and instruction manuals, still plastic on a couple units, the other boxes got wet in the basement) on a side note, my Dyson dc41 animal complete(fuchsia)arrived yesterday, I'm pumped, stoked, all those good things, what's wrong with me lol

thank you

Thank you stricklybojack for this post, It's been difficult finding detailed info on these until I came across this site! I'm a Dyson fan, and having a total of 8 fantoms in my possession, it's great to learn the full history and connection!

Fantom FM766HG

I bought a Fantom FM766HG at a used furniture store. I was trying to find out information about it when I came across this website. To be honest, I never heard of Fantom. The vacuum looks like it's never been used and has all the attachments. I'm curious about how old it is and how much the original retail price was. I only paid $40 for it. Does anyone have any information for me?

Pam
