HI- You may remember my thread about my recent purchase of a Sears Duo-Power canister from the 1970s.

Today I went out and bought the motor off a Filter-Queen Majestic, And I've hit a dilemma.

The original Duo-Power Motor has 5 wires, and the new Filter-Queen motor only has 4. I'm one yellow wire short.

Also, On the Duo-Power, there appears to be a capacitor to the power nozzle, while the Filter-Queen's setup has no capacitor.

Where do I go from here?

I'm not completely sure what to do about the capacitor. As for the motor, older FQ motors had five wires too, and there's a guide (you'll have to google for it, I've lost the link) to installing the newer 4-wire motor to replace the 5-wire ones. I'd expect it'd be the same here.
