We start with this lovely 1990 Sanitaire SC886 from Unique Thrift store. This one was very gently used, and in great shape for $18!
We replaced the broken fan, bag, and used a new CWP 4 brush roller and this baby is like new!!
Just needs a lower cord hook

Then today...

At Marklund Resale in Woodale this Concept Two Electronique!
All this needed was new belts and a good wiping off and it is beautiful!
I think the belts may have been original too!
This is the before shot:

Well that's a Concept I haven't seen before with the electronic speed control, great find.

Nice Sanitaire as well, I noticed it has the same Quick Kleen logo on the hood top as that blue Euroclean version I got awhile back.

as commonplace as those red Sanitaires are i never get tired of them. and repair parts are soo cheap too.

Jeff, were you aware of the new supposedly better nylon fans for 2000 series Eureka? you should try them out and see how you like em.

Congratulations on two great finds Jeff!! I have never used an Electronic C-Two before. Love the lights on that machine.

WOW!

Nice finds Jeff! I got the same Concept Two with the electronic speed control when I was in N.Canton last month. Plus, you saved a lot more money on the Concept than I did!

Enjoy!

Jeff...

Congrats on your Concept II. Those are very hard to come by and better yet yours works! Once those electronic circuit boards go, they are done! This one looks to be in beautiful condition. These machines are very pleasant to use too since they can be turned down to a whisper on low speed....all very dramatic. Great photos!

Concept Two Electronique

So far so good, but you are right Greg, its kinda top heavy with the Help Mate in place.
Aside from sorta needing new brushes this thing is in very good shape. Whoever owned it took pretty good care of it. Its scuffed and scraped here and there, but some steel wool and brasso will make it look like new even more!

Sanitaire

Jeff. Is the brush roller in the Sanitaire a vibra-groomer one or two. Dose it look like the brushes are orginal?? The
reason I ask as back in the 80's when I was selling them in
my shop. We would hammer out the beater bar on the VG I's
and replace them with a brush stip. Expecially if we were
selling them to a customer with glued down commerical carpet.

Sanitaire

Had a VGII in it with blue strips. They were pretty well worn down to nothing, so I replaced it with a 4-row CWP brush. I like the 4-row brushes in the Sanitaires better, they don't hug the carpet so much!
