Hello all, I'm wondering if the great VL family could help me with a project I'm working on.

I'm looking at the stain effectiveness for modern washing machines, so I have a stain sample make up ready to see how much of the stain is removed, so I require volunteers.

I am looking for modern machines of the brands: AEG, Beko, Bosch, Hoover/Candy, Hotpoint/Indesit, LG, Samsung, Miele, Whirlpool, Zanussi. Perhaps Servis/Vestel and Haier.

I would be really grateful for help, you have no idea how appreciative I am. Any questions or anyone interested, send me an email.

Thanks all

That's a good point actually, what cycle do we use? We wash 80% of stuff on a fastwash 60 degree, I put towels, bedsheets and vacuum bits through a 2.5 hour 80 degree long wash.

I think we have an anti stain cycle, never used it though!

I never understood the point of the anti-stain cycle. Do Hotpoint supply the buyer with a bib or something? Surely all washing machines should remove stains? Isn't that kind of the point?

Just remember to state your variables, Adam. There's going to be things like different detergents that people use, hard & soft water areas and chlourine content in the water depending on location.

The problem I find with most anti-stain programs is a bit like the eco ones - they take far too long to wash a soiled garment. Only some brands offer anti-stain programs WITH a decreased wash time dependent on the weight of the clothing. Of course it comes down to the weight of the clothing but also the amount of cycles the machine's program offers as well as general temperature and spin speed at the end.
