Ok So I am talking to someone about a rainbow for sale, which it turns out its a D2, so its too old for me.

But he says he has an old original Delco vacuum with attachments, box and manual. So I have no idea what this thing is. I got some pictures and its a (ugh) straight suction cleaner :S

Someone tell me something- is it worth $20 and 45 minutes to drive to get it?

I'd totally get it. You don't see too many of those. Its a GM product, from when the Delco division built appliances. Lately the name has been associated with things like car radios, and other automotive electronics.

nope

My mom is refusing to drive to get this or the rainbow. Guess this one will have to stay in lincoln.

That's a rare machine, Brandon. If it's NIB, with tools, it's valuable - pity about the cracked wheel, though. It's NOT a straight suction machine, it has a brush-roll.

If you're not interested in it, or you can't pick it up, I'm sure others would appreciate you passing the details onto them, so they can give it a good home. It would be a crime if this one got dumped.

Stan Kann's Delco

Indeed it would. I know it's a machine I would LOVE to have in my collection. Stan Kann had one in his, and IIRC, it's one of the machines now being sold in that lot on eBay. I wonder if they will sell the machines individually if no one bites for all of them

I suspect that wheel is made of bakelite and as such will mend perfectly with gap filling crazy glue and a pressure clamp. I would so go get it. Someone please save this GM Delco!

Dave
