I found a Sunbeam 12 on ebay in aqua.I thought 12's only came in pink, white ,turquoise ,yellow, and chrome. Is this really a color or is it a faded out turquoise?

It looks a light green.

Any ideas?

Very nice. I have one like in the picture bottom right. Harvest gold with woodgrain handle and front logo. I pieced it together from a large bowl I got with a unit at a thrift store, and a motor and base with beaters and dough hooks but no bowls from eBay. Had all the books and tags too. Then a while ago I found a small bowl at Goodwill for it.

Probably not as well made as the older models but works well for me.

I like the look of the older ones.

Sunbeam

I have a K/A too,but I prefer Sunbeam. I like my 12C,but my go to is still my mm100 and mm200.
So any ideas on that aqua anyone?

Smoking, heat, cooking grease, etc. all probably changed the original turquoise color. As you can see from my picture, the blue is actually quite "blue".

Yeah, what dysonman1 said....

If you had that machine in front of you, there would most likely be variations in the color on different spots with the less exposed portions showing more of the original color.

Also

If used in a kitchen where the cook smoked and did a lot of frying, that would yellow the finish, then if she cleaned the mixer with a Clorox soaked rag as a lot of women did, that would fade it.

I was wondering if it could be

a model that came from Australia. Somewhere I saw this guys huge collection of mixers and the like. I saw different shades of colors on a few different appliances.Does the finish appear to be original on yours? I've seen some nice colors on mixers rebuilt by Deco Dan and others. If you took off the little metal service plate on the bottom where the model number is stamped and turned it over you might see what it originally looked like, as it wouldn't be faded or have been wiped down washed for the last 60 years. Worth a try!

Sunbeam

The paint on the mixer bowls was perfect. It didn’t looked painted I thought I read somewhere that there was a light green model maybe Canada I don’t have it just saw it on eBay and it caught my eye
