Speaking of the Model F

Wow!

Charles....What a wonderfully written and complied history of the model F. I absolutely love reading it all and loved the story about Fumi and her sister and the Electrolux’s. Thanks for all the photos too. I never knew until this thread that the power nozzle was actually introduced with the F, thought it was only first with the G as I’ve never seen the F colored power nozzle anywhere except in your photos yet so that led me to believe the cream with teal bumper one was the first but I have now been corrected.

Is there a way to get to your Electrolux page? I tried your home page 137731.com but don’t see any way to get there. It would make for some wonderful reading I would definitely enjoy.

Cool, thanks for the pic. Now I know exactly what I’m looking for.
I see one of your F’s has a tan switch, I just ordered one, it came in that color. I guess I will have to use it, my orig has a pc broke off on one side. Did you replace the gray switch on the one vac, I think it was the rusty one

It's been a while since I looked at your website, Charles. Really enjoyed seeing it again.

I love the story on the last page, about Fumi's Model F! Very very cool.

When I was a kid, the neighbor across the street gave me a nice Model R, with a cloth bag in it and the "early donut style" cordwinder, no louvered cover and a black Belden cord. I remember wrapping the entire hose, from end to end, in duct tape, trying to get it to seal. Eventually the little front roller wheels broke from my careless handling. It's long gone now. Oh well...

Miss seeing the other sections of your site. Hopefully someday they will be back online!

It is possible

That your Moms original hose may not have been this one then if you remember it more of a dirty looking gray..those were on the XXX and the model E’s I’ve experienced have had two different t hoses with them that seem to have been original, one in a dark dirty gray.

As I’ve mentioned, Electrolux didn’t religiously equip every machine of a model series with the color correct hoses and attachments..things definitely varied or were substituted either by the factory or salesman perhaps.

Striping pattern looks ok

This looks like the wrong base colo. the gray looks like a cool bluish gray. And getting ends for it will be a challenge.
