I just took a trip to my local Sebo dealer, who used to work for Hoover for 30 or so years. He just got back from a Sebo exhibit which showed off the new models for the USA market coming in the next few months. Obviously you all in the UK and Germany already have them.
After seeing the new model, he said that the new on/off switch being activating by kicking it on the side, is absolutely stupid. He told it right to the engineer's face, saying that won't fly in the US household market. Needless to say, he didn't like being told that.
It is nice that you can replace the cord on it, but I think turning it on and off that way will get old very quick, and he can't see selling that vacuum vs. any other with an easy on/off switch. Heck, he said, the whole Dyson setup for returning the wheels to upright on the ball models causes enought frustration for people to trade it in for another vacuum.
Oh yeah, and prices for Sebo stuff will go up March 1 for the US. Apparently they already did on sebo's us website as for example, the felix motor filter went from $39 to $41.
