Fabulous oldies...
Those vacs are beautiful. I love the Royals, and the Kenmore is simply magical! It brings to mind the many fantasy-filled hours I spent with the Sears and MW catalogues.

I believe those Royal tanks are models 901 (the red one) and the 701 (the silver one) if I am not mistaken. I would love to find a model 931 from around 1979 that has the 497 power nozzle.

The whole shootin' match, and 1956 too....the year I was born. I remember seeing one or two of them when I was a toddler and being awestruck at the unusual upright design.
Lucky you to have a partner like that. My ex would get queezy just setting foot in an antique shop so I always had to go on my own.

The red one is a 260 and the chrome one is a 401,I took it apart when I got it and the motor was dated 1963, according to Mike Rogers it was only sold by certain dealers who really moved the machines.here is a 68 Electro Hygiene!, one of my favorites from my good friend Dr John Young.

OMG, Christmas lights.....I LOVE them. I have a friend in FL who has tons of old sets, and boxes of bulbs in his attic. Many of them date from the 20's-30's. I have a couple sets that were my parents' but I don't dare get started collecting them too.

Hans, I have the same canister only in the salmon/pink and gray colors that match a Cadillac upright I have. The brand name on mine is Armaid, which was a department store branded model, I believe from Famous-Barr. I also think they are both made by Clements, could that be right? The upright was a gift from Marty Kaplan who won it at a convention, and the canister was a gift from John Pease who found it at an estate sale. Anyone who knows me well, know I like my matching sets, and even though the brand names are different, the colors match and are made by the same company. I especially like the canister tools, they're awesome!

Does Betty Crocker live there too ??
Looking at the vacuums was awsome, plus seeing them in the 50's kitchen with the 50's stove. Does the stove have a "deep Well" cooker in it ?? Mom used to put a roast or a chicken the deep well cooker on our old Fridigaire on Sunday morning.
So when we got home from church, Dinner was always ready to sit down and eat !!
But the Pie in the background sitting on the cooling rack!! OH please tell that is a for real fruit pie !! It looks so awesome.
I feel like I have gone back home. Except Mom would have NOT allowed the vacuum on the table or the stove . Just No way !!
