Before they get too settled in, make sure you straight pipe the dryer vent with rigid ducting and chuck that tinfoil junk in the garbage can. They are a fire hazard and also cannot be draped around the floor like that. It makes me sick when they install that junk with gas dryers - which burn a lot hotter than an electric dryer. Those flexiducts will burn up like a chinese lantern. Just make sure with the new vent and run, the shorter the vent has to run the better it will be on your dryer and clothes, and only use tape on the outside of the duct - no screws.
Also keep in mind for HE washers you only need 1/2 a cup of soap for the wash cycle, they use less water than a top loader - and they are programmed to save water, so you have to be careful how you wash not to load it too full with soap or clothes.
I have a 2007 Maytag Epic Z washer myself - bought refurbished in 2013. I just had to clean it out with pine cleaner a couple months ago because it had black mold and all kinds of nastyness inside it because I never knew the pump had a catch basin in it you're supposed to check often (requires unscrewing the front panel). Also had to replace the boot seal because it rotted away - what a chore that was.
With proper setup and the right care - these should last you a long time. You should also add a bottom drawer for both of them - it will save the machine if you get a flood (or if they cause the flood), it raises them to a more handy height to keep a basket under the door ready to unload or load, and its handy to store dryer balls and dryer sheets and all that stuff. I go to the dollar store every year and stock up on 30+ boxes of dryer sheets and keep them in my washer's drawer caddy.
I'm jealous at how nice your laundry room looks! It makes you want to pull a bed out and sleep in there, lol My laundry room is so shabby and run down.
