and....

yes i know the 33 has no bag or handle. i dont have the correct bag for it.

They are very nice indeed - a good job well done- could I ask what kind of paint you used to do the metal parts with - only I have 2 UK model 652A's which are the same exept for they have headlights and cloth bags - but they are in sore need of painting.
Did you have to sand down the old paint first the metal or just a light sanding before repainting?

well mad about hoovers.....

seeing that im in the US, and your UK, i dont qite know if you would be able to get what i used. i got my paint at O'Rileys Auto Parts. let me find the can and get back to with what i used......=)

DId you use car spray paint? how did you avoid getting any on the rubber bumper strips. I thought you may have used paint that you brush on.

How did you prepare the vacs for painting?

yes i did use spray paint.....

meatal partts were always sprayed at the facory. now these two machines in qestion of mine had to have some major prep. but yours wont be so bad...... strip everything off the base that isint pop riveted on, includeing medallions.sand the uneaven or croded areas with some sand paper to even out the rough spots. then what i did for the bumper is taped it carefully and precisley with blue painers tape. the did my spray paint.

Thanks for the ideas - I will heed your advice when I come to doing a respray job on my 652's - getting the right colour will be a challenge, but I'm sure I can do it.
Yours look a real treat, and these are such a classic design as well - they look so nice when properly restored!
