I saw one of these at a vac shop today. It uses water filtration like a Rainbow. I would like some more info on this vacuum, as not a lot of people sell these...

I have a very light used one
I bought brand new at my local vacuum shop. But it's stored away because I use my rainbow only now. I'm trying to sell mine.

Dang. Why do you not like it as much as the Rainbow?
How much weight do y'all put into the carpet and rug institute ratings? They rate the sirena gold on carpet cleaning.
The sirena apparently had a Italian made motor. I can tell you that Italian made motors and pumps are of top quality but idk how they compare to the brushless motor in the Rainbow. It also has a 12 year warranty. I don't think it has attachments like the rainbow. That right there in itself is great for the Rainbow.

But here's what I notice -
Rainbow has had so many years and years to evolve into such a user friendly machine. I do not like the dolly on the Sirena and the unit is so weird shaped that when you take it off to lay on its side, it will often roll over onto one if its latches popping it off if you're not careful. The worst thing about it is the cleanup. It's just HARDER than the Rainbow. The design underneath where the separator sits down into this sunken area surrounded by rubber (a much different type of rubber gasket than the rainbows uses. It's hard to clean and more of the underside of sirena is exposed to water than rainbow, and everything sticks like lint and hair.
I notice on the rainbow hardly anything sticks to that rubber gasket...One last thing - I don't think the separator is as efficent at keeping dirt in the water. The separator on the Sirena is always dirty after each use - the rainbow's isn't. I took the hepa off and could see dirt on it even after a month, and this is with changing water frequently. But the hepa is super easy to wash (much more easy than the Rainbow) and it really is a good machine that I would totally use all the time if I did not have my rainbow. The few times I used it the house felt super clean just like if I had used my Rainbow. It's just that these are the things I've noticed after using it for a while.
It's weird that they have a max fill and min fill on the basin, and the instructions say when vacuuming to fill to the min line, which is what I did. But others say to fill in between min and max because min isn't enough water. I don't know. Perhaps that could be the reason my hepa got a little dirty. If there is anyone who wants a rainbow like vacuum but can't afford a rainbow, I would totally recommend this.

I usually fill my Sirena to the top of the post or just below the max line and I have had no problems. I do think there is more surface to clean underneath due to the shape of the basin, but all in all it is a decent machine.
I will agree with Mark that Rainbow has had longer to refine their machine, however, the Sirena doesn't cost as much as a Rainbow.
In the mix you will not get direct connect wands. You will have a separate non-electric hose and an electric hose. The attachments, though of decent quality are a pain with that pin that has to be pushed to release, except for the dusting brush which is always falling off because it lacks a hole for the pin.
It does not, at least at this time, have a shampoo attachment, but is rated for wet pick up. I have mentioned several times that I am not in love with the power nozzle on the Sirena, but I think it is more my preferences than the actual design of the nozzle itself.
Wish list:
Longer power cord.
Headlight on power nozzle
More and clearly marked height settings on the power nozzle.
In the end, I like the Sirena. I did get a good price and would buy one again knowing what I know now.

Kirbysthebest do you think the separator works well ? Have you notice any dust on the fans or on the hepa filter? Mark willams said he noticed dust on his after a while . Would you take a Sirena over the newest Rainbow ? I cant decide which one to buy

I have not noticed dust on the fans, and the filter is as clean as day one. Mine is a year old this month, but Low usage, about once a week-- this is a Kirby house. I do Clean and dry the separator and basin after each use. Most of what I vacuum up is American Eskimo hair. Lots of white hair. I empty my water basis on the compost bin.
Mark has far more experience than I, so I trust his opinion. If price were not the issue, I would love a new Rainbow. Since my checkbook said no, the Sirens is a good alternative.

One thing to consider is Rainbow parts are super easy to find. If you want an extra separator or something it's something to keep in mind.

There is more dust on
my Sirena fans in less than 6 months than there is on my rainbow fans which is over 10 yrs old now. But it's relative because there's hardly any dust on my rainbow fans....so there is not a lot of dust on the sirena fans (just more) and I did notice dirt on the hepa (not much, but some). It's either
A) because I was filling to the min line (like the instructions say to do)
OR
B) the separator is just not as good (even still, the hepa will catch everything and it's super easy to wash)
The key thing to me is the separator itself is always ALWAYS dirty. I know separators needs to be cleaned so they all obviously get dirty, it's just that it takes so much longer for the rainbow separator to get dirty enough to where it needs to be cleaned. Even doing filthy jobs like using my rainbow to vacuum out my shark bagless upright bin. After I did this, I got a toothbrush looking for dirt in the grooves and there was none. I'm honestly not sure what the difference is in the separators, but I'm convinced (even though Sirena is good) it's not as good as the rainbow. If you can afford it - get Rainbow.
