Gorgeous machines, but as usual with old vacuums they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. I would suggest putting them on EBay.The Birtman may not be worth as much since that company produced so many under so many different names. The singer is more the desirable model.

A real problem with trying to sell such vintage vacuums is that most of the collectors who desired either machine have either passed away, or already have one. The young vacuum collectors rarely know what they are. Most young collectors want vacuums from the 1980's, which they consider 'old' and 'antique'.

I see the Singer R4D is back on eBay.
I have to agree with dysonman1 that some members have their Singers.
I have 3 of those great machines; R1, R4 and R4D.
I thought I paid a lot for my R4D but no way near what this one is on eBay for.

I'm 26 and I have got a Bee Vac myself - no idea when it was made or how rare it is. Came out of a barn in Amish country Wisconsin. Have to jury-rig a bag for it and needs a full inspection before even plugging it in. Love these old vacs and their unique soft sound like a sewing machine.

If i was more financially stable, I wold love to own them! Sadly my family, my Aunt, and Uncle have been putting our spare money towards a Nursing Home for my grandfather. He fell Ill a few months ago, and is too unstable to return home.
Personally, ill take machines from the 30's through the 80's over anything made today...

One has to remember that many of the collectors of the older vacuums started collecting them years ago when these older machines could be found easily.
I am really fond of the early Singer vacuums like the R1, but there is no way I will pay $1,000.00 for one. Thank the Lord there won’t be any NIB found, LOL.
For huskyvac, I just know someone out the will have an old useable bag complete with bag ring or just the bag ring for your Bee Vac. Your Bee Vac is a great find.
I have an early Royal from the 30’s that I should buff but I sort of like the way it looks in the rough, the bag was toast so I did get a solid gray one for it.
For vacuumlad1650, I’m on the older side and just how much longer will I be keeping what I have? I don’t mean that in a negative way, but.
I have a thing for all Hoovers with Bakelite hoods so I have all but Model 60, Model 27 and Model 26.
I would say if I have a Model 61 why would I want a Model 60, the Model 61 is basically an improved Model 60 but not as rare.
I own Model 28s so again why a Model 27 other than I think they were somewhat rare. And as for the Model 27 it would make what I have complete.
I am not saying I am actively looking for any of these and there are several Model 27s on eBay but I don’t want to spend those dollars right now.
Good hunting down the older and newer vacuums you all want.
