Picked up an old singer upright metal base with the dual metal fans.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what year this model is..?

Model U45 5 amp
Anderson South Carolina
25980..........that is the number on the metal band below the motor.
Number on the base plate is 5-640323

May 1964 would be my guess, but thats just a guess.

'64 that sounds about right.
Are you going by first 2 numbers on the base plate..?

According to my date sheet from Singer the U45 was out in 1968

Yes I was going by the first 3 numbers 5-64 =)
