Simplicity Vacs any good?

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Perhaps she quoted me the wrong price, but I have a copy of a card with a photo/specs of the dark blue Synergy model, $1139 list price, with $649.00 written on it by the sales person at the store. Supposed to be new, not refurbished or anything. I guess it would be the X-9 because the price on my card matches what you have said up there. The little line card is at home or I'd check it and see.

Considering the Simplicity Series 7 & it's Riccar counterpart solely (not any other Tacony models), both of these vacuums are direct copies of the standard commercial Panasonic...you can just get the Panasonic at Wal-Mart & save crazy $$. Tacony builds extra strength (metal bottom plate, metal brush roll etc.) into their vacs & so does Panasonic on it's commercial vacs. If you don't need above floor cleaning you can get one of these for less $135 before tax...if you do the price is about $50 higher, (see link).
Or you can opt for Panasonic's Platinum Plus line versions of the vac (some color Hepa, pet option etc.) for about $350, still half the cost of the Tacony.
But If you want it built in America by all mean go for the Tacony.
