Very nice. I haven't tried the new models yet, but I have the prior version that just was replaced, and they're amazing. I would expect anyone to be really impressed and consider one to be more than worth the investment.

The new models are truly stunning. We stock the Simplicity at work and my favorite demo is where I turn the unit on and let the unit pull itself across the floor. Not even an Oreck can do that.

I would love to get my hands on one of the lightweight uprights from Tacony. The only vacuum I have is a straight-suction Dirt Devil canister (link below) while there are carpets in my house. Sometimes, my father lends me his bagless Bissell upright for the carpets, but I don't trust the machine much. In a thread I posted about my Dirt Devil, some people suggested that I get a turbo brush for my canister, but do any of you believe that even an entry model Freedom/Supralite upright would outperform a TTI canister with a turbo brush from Wessel werk or my father's Bissell? Should I get a Freedom or a Supralite if I had enough money?

I actually reached out to Tom after reading up on these machines and I got the red Riccar which I absolutely love! Yes, there are limitations in that it doesn't have tools on board but I tend to use my central vac with hide a hose for my wood floors and furniture cleaning. Besides, I had a Shark Rotator with a Powered lift away ( returned after recall) and a Dyson DC65 and using the hose on board was a pain in the rear. Emptying the bins wasn't for me and the Dyson felt very creaky. Overall I really love the Riccar. My parents still have a blue Simplicity 5200 from the 1990's in their basement so I know it will last a long time! Thanks again Tom!

These machines are destined to become tomorrow's classic collectors item. Awesome performance and craftsmanship! Even my housekeeper was impressed! Although I'm most impressed with the fact that she hasn't killed it yet! She has a helper who comes with her when she's here every two weeks. The helper asked what plans I had for the XL 21 sitting in my closet. She turned and looked at her help her and gave her a filthy look! Priceless!
