Silly and Useless Question, But I'll Ask Anyway.

My GE upright vacuum P4U7 bag zips UP to close the bag. The Hoover Convertible, and others zip DOWN to close.

Which do you prefer, and why?

Do any scientific theories, traditions customs or lore govern the proper direction of zipping the bag closed?

Interesting question, but...

I think it really just boils down to preference, myself. I prefer a zipper to zip up to close, personally. It's how most of my vacuums, (and let's be honest here, our pants too) operate. Just seems easier.

Interesting question. To me, it makes more sense for a vac bag to be zipped up. As the bag fills at the bottom, it expands and if the zipper were zipped from top to bottom, the expanding bag would start opening as the zipper was pushed open at the bottom.
