Have you owned Kirbys before and know what you are getting yourself in to? $40 for a complete Kirby of any vintage ain't bad. If it runs, well, that's just a bonus.

Yeah I have several haha .. I just wondered about the price .. It does run .. I also have another Heritage 2 .. So maybe its a bonus .. And maybe I should buy! Haha

For 40 bucks it's a deal. I'd pay that just for the complete attachment kit. Love them or hate them every collection needs at least 3 Kirby's lol.

I paid the same for my brand-new Heritage II with optional and rare 13-inch nozzle and full attachment set (not including the Rug-Renovator). My best find this year so far!

Yeah, that's a good deal, especially with the tools. And the Heritage II is less hassle to keep going than many of the same vintage - the belts are easily available and it can use G-series bags. (At least mine can - I've heard some use the older fill tube. If this is one of those, I think you can fit it with a G-series fill tube.)
It's also a completely serviceable daily driver, as long as everything's in good shape.

If nothing else you have spare parts to keep the machine you have in original condition. No "replacement" parts that don't match the orginal machine. I have collected extra attachaments for my Heritage II. It is my daily driver.
I would. After giving it a spa treatment and cleaning and servicing the motor you'd always have the option of selling it for a profit. $40 is definitely a fair price--especially with its attachments. Do let us know what you decide.
