She’s a Lady!

Well I just realized I don’t think I posted this machine before (looked to see and didn’t find any posts of it). I found it earlier this year, and it’s from the category of vacuums I definitely wanted but thought I’d never find. Found the thing at a antique/craft mall my mom knows about. I think she saw it before and then found a way to lure me in there... She said she knew it had to be rare because she’s seeen all the common machines thanks to me. One of the few times I’ve ever gasped loudly when finding a machine.

The ONLY Kenmore ever built with a curved lower wand! I found mine in Augusta Ga at a antique mall too!

It's my favorite of the cart-mounted Kenmores, mostly because its the only version where the vacuum can't be lifted off of the cart, which is interesting to me. It really is a nice machine to use too, I just wish it came with one of those triangular power nozzles! But those didn't come along for another couple years.

Very Nice!

I love these old Kenmores, they had so much styling, each machine was unique. Hans gave me one from Mike Hayes' collection this summer, I still need to clean it up. I also have the Whispertone machines from the early 60s. The Kenmores of this era are hard to beat, the attachments did very well. I used Ken Wagman's machine for about a month before I moved down here, it did very well on pet hair.
