I have a few questions about this one. Was this Shark's version of the Oreck vacs? I haven't seen too many of these. The only time I saw one was in a Marshall's years and years ago. Was this also both a commercial and home use upright? Have any of you ever tried one of these out? Does it sound as loud as an Oreck upright? I always thought these were interesting looking.

The motor design, the bag situated on the thin suction port all lead me to believe that this however is a Shark version of the old Oreck uprights. Only difference it seems is that instead of a soft outer bag it has a weirdly shapen hard bag cover.

That mini upright was not Shark's version of a Oreck upright. Here in Canada, they actually did sell a 8 pound, soft bagged upright that looked EXACTLY like a Oreck. It used HEPA Cloth bags, had a headlight & was dark red in color, same color the Shark Professional/Shark Legacy EP754 powerhead canister that was a Miele copy. It was sold mainly in Canadian Tire, I think for $299, but could have been $249. This was around 2006 to 2009 or so. Very cheaply made, the fans were prone to cracking & breaking with hardly any usage. I have heard they were also sold in the USA, but cannot verify for sure. I tried to find a image on Google, but so far haven't found one.

I have one of those Sharks, it was a gift from my buddy Phillip. I haven't turned it on in quite some time, but I remember thinking it wasn't a bad little vac at the time. It was not as loud as an Oreck, I do remember that, and if memory serves me..lol..that's a stretch, I think I used a Kenmore 5055 canister bag in it as I couldn't find the original bags for it. I'll have to check it out to be sure.

Judging by the motor design it is direct air correct? Do you have a youtube channel by the way? if you do, do you think you could upload a video of this machine? To me, this strikes me as Sharks rarest machine, seeing as how very little I have seen them. There also is not too many pictures online of these odd shapen but very interesting looking cleaners.

Shark UVC805, UVC805C 8 pound bagged upright

John, my apologies for not replying back to this thread sooner. That upright is VERY elusive & hard to find a picture for!! And a couple of things I forgot....it had swivel steering & a Turbo boost setting.

Here is a picture of it from a online manual I found for it. Linked below is the manual & a Ebay auction for a package of belts.
