Sebo X4 Difficult to Push

I am currently waiting to receive the base plate with holes. I can nearly confirm that my issue is that the nozzle is sucking down to the carpets too much. I ran my X4 without the hose and the height was good.

Well the particular person (not on VL) that said the X7 and X4 base plates are interchangeable was incorrect. The X7 base plate has a completely different fitting. I suppose if I’m desperate, I will have to drill holes but that would void my warranty. I suppose I could buy another x4 base plate and drill the holes, but put the original plate on if I need warranty work. You would think Sebo would make a plate with holes for the X4.

Might as well buy an X4 base plate, drill some holes in it and be prepared to swap base plates if you need to bring it in for service. You would probably have voided the warranty bringing it in with an X7 base plate.

I believe that’s my plan! The X7 plate would definitely have voided the warenty, so I would have swapped it as well. Of course I really don’t expect to have to take my machine in, maybe I’ll have it serviced at around 5 years.
