I managed to get this Felix at a bargain price. Looks mint, filters are fairly clean..
The hose is a problem though. It doesn't seem to be sealed with the cleaner like I thought it should.
It doesn't seem to be ripped or anything. There isn't any seal on the cleaner or hose's end so it basically just connects without anything apart from the spring that holds it..
Have you guys got the same thing? Is it normal? Not sure if it's worth to splash on a new hose if this one's alright.
I've attached a video

Congrats on the Felix!

They're a great machine!

I have a Felix and it doesn't do that, but I also have a Sebo X4 and it does the exact same thing yours does! The X4's hose connection to the machine body is similar, but not identical, to the connection on the Felix. I've tried removing the hose several times and making sure there isn't any debris in the connection and it's never made any improvement. I bought the X4 used, so I don't know if it has always done that, or if it happened over time.

Sorry that I can't offer any help, but I can sympathize, and would be appreciative of any recommendations the forum can offer!

Should Not Do That

I have a Felix. It does not do that. You are leaking CFM which degrades the performance of the machine. There should be an orange spring clip underneath. It may be defective on yours.

I had a proper look and it doesn't seem to have any rips.
The clip works like it should, locks the hose in place.
I have put a bit of silicone around the black part that enters the cleaner. Seems to help with the problem.
Do you think I need a new hose then if yours doesn't do that?

Give Sebo a Call

I’d give Sebo a call first. They might just send you a hose and/or clip based on what they think is wrong. If the hose is not warped or torn, it leads me to believe that maybe the clip isn’t holding a sufficient amount of pressure.

I have sent them an email, but I've not heard back from them.
Like I said, the silicone seems to be doing a good job.
I'm using Dyson's turbine head with an adapter and it's been working more efficiently since I've put silicone on the hose where it enters the cleaner.
I know it sounds a bit silly, but it noticeably spins faster.

Felix hose

That actually doesn't sound silly at all. If it spins faster after applying the silicone that definitely indicates there was a leak. When connecting the hose, it should snap in to place and provide a seal. Similarly, the other end of the hose should go in to the holder and be a snug fit, and this is required for the power head to work. You can use an adapter to use other attachments, that's the unique thing about the Felix, it's in the shape of an upright but has the flexibility of a canister. In my opinion it's the best upright on the market right now. Let us know if you end up replacing any parts.

Well, not sure about that. I'd say that there isn't "the best" really.
I've tried many vacuums and all of them had good and bad points. I've not used one that would be perfect..
I don't like that Felix doesn't have onboard wand. Vacuuming nocks and crannies, cobwebs etc can be tiring as you have to carry the vacuum. It also easily falls over while using hose so you have to hold it all the time basically.

You guys say that bags are small, I'd say bags are really big. I've vacuumed 3 different households and after 2 months the bag is about half full. Households that use Dysons and Felix is apparently better cleaner.
As you can imagine it starts to smell a bit.
