Very interesting, 237.00 for the top of the line canister. I just wonder what a new Electrolux with power nozzle of that same time would have been?

I Had That...

...Sears Best vac shown in the pic. Mine had the "tool garden" tray that locked onto the top; it held all the attachments.

It was a very good, thoughtfully designed vac while it lasted. It had triple filtration- a paper bag, a motor filter, and an afterfilter. The two speeds were kind of nice in certain situations, though I didn't use the low one that often, mainly for delicate jobs like lampshades.

The tools were of very high quality for plastic tools. They had genuine horsehair bristles, and the dusting brush had a neck that allowed it to be swivelled. It also had a ten-foot hose.

The nicest thing about it was that Powermate, which was the best-performing, best-designed power nozzle I've ever owned. It adjusted for height, it had a headlight, it had edge clean, and it was very aggressive in grooming carpeting.

Alas, it was also the only vac I've ever had that suffered motor failure. I probably should have replaced the motor, but I went trolling the thrifts to find something to vacuum with at least temporarily, and that's when I found my first Lux.

I have the green one

I am missing the PN though does anyone have a spair lol. I actually bought it as a doner vac to one of my others for the motor but have not been able to bring myself to do it yet.

LOL

I rescued one from the trash a few years back
Not sure what model but those are what the tools & wand look like though it only had floor tool, & crevice.
Vac was kaput but I took the wands & tools
Ugly Betty Green Obseam has them now

LOL
