Searching for a new vacuum

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Thanks for all the help here. Just thought to let you all know that we ended up getting the Lindhaus Healthcarepro. We got the bigger one that I think it's 15 inches wider than the smaller one. We've had this for over a week now and it's been a really great vacuum for us. I love the groom marks that it leaves on our carpets and I also like that it's got a lifetime belt on it so I don't have to replace anymore belts unlike our old Eureka.

Again thanks for all of the suggestions that you gave us as I learned a little more about vacuums and thank you Alex for helping us choose out our Lindhaus.

A lifetime belt??? How is that possible? Unless it's direct drive you will have to replace the belt at some point but if it's geared then that also interesting. I didn't know that high torque applications can use a geared belt?

Lindhaus makes good vacuums, interestingly, they're not as well known, they don't advertise very much, and purchasing their vacuums is not always the easiest, but they are made very well. They also make a great power nozzle. I'm still thinking about getting the Aria canister if I can find a place that carries it, most on line stores don't.

Came here for recommendations for a central vac as well. Gladly we've already checked several shops but as you know how hard is to get honest recommendations from the dealers. I'd prefer to hear your own experience.

I have discovered thus far that machines such as VacuFlo, Nutone, and Honeywell are what the experts consider to be "contractor quality" machines oppose to a specialty store product. I have been told by many dealers that these are basic machines made with the lowest quality internal parts. So I have narrowed it down to three brands; Prolux, BEAM, & Cyclo Vac. Has anyone had any experience with any of these three machines or know someone that has?
All input and suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated as I need decide on a unit within the next couple weeks - since we're working on a new house.

Thanks in advance!
