This is something that is in one of the boxes under my desk in our shop. I didnt want to toss it in with one of our eBay job lots of heads and tools in case it was of use to anyone as it is probably a rarity in some places.
Here's the tale: some will know that my wife is Russian by birth. Last year when we visited the folks in Russia, her Dad showed me his old Soviet time Ural tub machine. He wanted a new hose and metal tube for it. He hadn't found one locally as this is a 70's machine (which they love and works like a dream - he says better then the DC24 they also have we sent out there) and asked for a suggestion on how to fix it.
What I did was bring what he had back, we fashioned a Dyson DC02 hose to fit his machine cuff, and mailed that, the DC02 metal tube and a DC02 floor tool back out there. I also sent them three standard Dyson tools so they had a crevice for the car, etc. So, one happy Father in law.
So this why I have a 70's Урал floor tool under my desk.
I'll take a pic on Monday in case its of use to anyone. Meanwhile, here is a pic of the original machine that I took in Russia.
