Rubber Thumper Bumpers--what scheme????

Hi Blaze,

I've seen some with black letters and a gold floor brush frame border, and some that have both parts in black.

It's not always easy to tell by photos, and some have been gone over with black markers after the original wore off or faded; which makes it more difficult to be certain when the ones with gold were made (during the 50th Jubilee production or the Super J production).

On second thought, maybe they did the last Jubilee bumpers and the first Super J bumpers in gold!

Your photo really brings out that attractive honey gold color! We had some drinking glasses in that era that were also made in honey gold, so that was one of the 'in' colors of the '60s and '70s along with harvest gold, browns, oranges, reds, and greens—earth tone colors.

I repainted this one. Someone once told me that the words on the bumper was supposed to be silver and the border was Gold. Super J's I think are Black. But Im not for sure

Nice paint job.

I've never seen a silver bumper graphic or lettering on a Jubilee or Super J; although it may have been used on the Silverado Deluxe's bumpers.
