Royal Metal Uprights - Changing from Type A to Type B Bags

Has anyone on here attempted to successfully convert a Type A Royal outer bag by adding the fill tube that is used with the Type B disposable bags?

Convert to B bag--Just buy a "B" outer bag--that's it.Save the old "A" bag for show.The B bags also improve the performance.
