Left to right are model 94 (pre-war), 230, and 2-230, both post-war. The 2-230 was the last straight suction Electro-Hygiene, replaced by the revolving brush model 285.
Here's A Few More That Weren't Part of the 2011 Acqu
First is a model 80 Electro-Hygiene. This was the first Electro-Hygiene model, built from 1934 until it was replaced in the late 30's or early 40's with the 94. Note the inline switch on the cord. There was NO switch on the handle, or any place cut out for one. This was my first restoration project.
This one was built from 1945 to 1952, when it was replaced by the 966. One of my Aunts had one of these when I was little. I would love to find a proper set of wands, hose, and rug nozzle for it. The hose would be similar to the one for my 2-230, except that it would have had a connector on the machine end instead of cuffs on both ends.
One of two that I have, this one came from an estate sale several years ago. Unfortunately the only attachments they had were what you see here. I usually use the ones from my other 966 with it. The 966 had a long run (30 years), and from the low serial number I'm thinking this one was from the first or second year of production.
This was the first 903 I got for my collection and is also the newest of the 3, built in 1983. The 903 was the current model when I was selling EH, and had a run of over 20 years. Here she is with attachments and extra accessories kit.
