I was wondering if I could convert the fill tube to a Kirby style;that way,I wouldn't need two types of bags between my machines ! www.vacuum-depot.com has a couple of different options on fill tubes,and both are around $65 each .

Help buying a Royal vacuum cleaner

Looking for a great vacuum for my fairly small church. We have mostly indoor/outdoor carpet and have several of the "box store" variety vacs, which offer less than good pick up capability. I have followed this forum postings on the Royal and believe I'd like to find a used Royal that you expert vacuum people would look for if you were me. I am only qualified to operate one, not pick one out. Your help appreciated.

I would go with a Royal Commercial Metal Series vacuum like the one that is the subject of this thread.They have 14" and 18" nozzle options.They're built for the long haul and have great suction power!The 7600 Duke is obsolete,but the current models are descended from it .Well worth the money !

I noticed the grounding prong on your power cord is missing; that would not be safe. A replacement power cord would be part no. 1-061136-AU0 in orange; the original was 1-061136-B00 in medium gray.
