The casters on my vacuum do not swivel very well when trying to pull the vacuum However they swivel just fine when I have the vacuum tipped over. Is there some kind of lubricant that could be sprayed on the ball bearings or is that even a good idea? Could there be some other problem?

Thanks.

I don't know what I was thinking but I got confused with the rotomatic that I have now (a model 980-A) and one that I previously owned (a model 948). The 980 did have the ball bearing type wheels but the 980 that I have now does NOT have ball bearing type swivel casters. Instead the wheel is attached to a metal u-shaped frame which has the screw going through the frame and attaching to the body. There are 2 plastic washers, one on each side of the frame which allows the wheel to swivel. So the screw goes through the washer, through the wheel frame, another washer and then through the body of the vac. I'm not sure if I've explained it correctly. Is there any way to get the wheels to swivel more freely?
