UPDATE—I achieved a much more palatable cup of coffee this morning by using a little more water and a little less coffee. It's interesting that using the same amount of water and coffee--and even the same filters--yields so much stronger coffee than its predecessor but I'm happy about that since it means I'll be making coffee that much more economically in this machine than in its predecessor.

Bill, I got them at the Ridge Rd Goodwill (Jura) and Savers at the McKinley Mall (Bosch).

Usually I filter the water for them through, believe it or not, a Fantom Calypso water purifier. They also both have cartridge filters but only William Sonoma and Premier Gourmet sell them locally.

As far as the disc filters I don't really need any they're readily available still in Canada in packs of 300 from another company so I have quite a few and these days I rarely brew full pots, more often I make Americanos with the espresso machines as opposed to making that much coffee.
