Checked out the Aerus LGP just now. Sweet looking machine. Great airflow and suction. The only negative I could find with it is the plastic telescopic wand.
With a machine otherwise so perfectly engineered, and with a price tag so high (he offered it to me for $1,500 no tax out the door, which was very reasonable), I figured the wand would have been metal.
Anyway, I think I'm going to go with the Riccar Immaculate. It checks all of the boxes.
1. Quality engineering (steel and High-grade aluminum parts, plates, wands, etc.)
2. Great filtration (S-HEPA and Charcoal)
3. Great Airflow (powerful PN)
3. Some of the best tools (big, horsehair, etc.)
4. Digital handle controls (& dirt sensor-though admittedly unnecessary)
5. 6 height settings on PN (more than competitors)
6. Electric turbo brush (sold separately, but available)
7. Good (not superior) warranty
8. Lowest overall cost of ownership
The Sebo came close, only for the disco floor polishing head, making it two machines in 1, but it's manual controls on the PN are where Riccar won out.[this post was last edited: 10/22/2014-15:26]
