being a second generation (Aerus) Electrolux man has helped me have some interesting finds in either paperwork ,machines or knowledge. I was working on cleaners as far back as 58 years ago. I sold my first new cleaner door to door at 11 years old when I needed money for Boy Scouts. My father said, "You been to the sales meetings with me, Out on demoes, and know how to go to the door. You have a brand new wagon- go out a sell a cleaner." I did, when my father found out he said," I was just kidding." I was out with my dad in the summer months learning all I could.

Do you have a pretty complete collection of Electrolux machines and paperwork?

Are you a franchise owner or independent contractor?

I am currently an Independent contractor. Here is some of the interesting stuff I have. Are you into Indy Car?

is another Pic. .This is Michael Andretti's car in 1986. The other is a poster that was a copy of a painting done for Electrolux. I saved this when the manager was going to throw it away. One for each branch in 198?. Have to check exact year. No problem.

I heard from an Elux mgr of the 60s who won trips to Waldorf & CT factory that Mr Senet had 2 lights on the Power Nozzle of his personal Elux.One lit up if the phone rang,the other for the doorbell!

That's great that your dad allowed you to go with him selling door to door. Not only was it a valuable experience for you, but I would think that children add credibility (along with assistance) for salespersons in most customers' eyes. Congrats on 58 years selling Electorluxes!

Though I'm not into Indy, those mementoes are cool. Sounds like you were in the right place at the right time.
