Rare upright Numatic TurboVac TVS2 cream brown

I saw this little beauty on e-bay at the start of the week.
It was listed completely wrong by an elderly lady who was having a clear out.
Anyway... I've hunted high and low on the internet and can find no evidence of anybody ever talking about or owning one of these. The only literature I can find that refers to this machine is a scan of some Numatic advertising...

The machine is in full working order and came with loads of genuine spare bags.
I've opened it up to check there are no hidden problems and have given it a LIGHT wipe over.... Only issues are that the front bump strip is missing and there is some slight damage to the handle (hence the tape)...

So what do you guys think? I paid £20 for it (BIN price for her to end the auction early) and it probably cost me about £30 in petrol to collect it.
I wouldn't call myself a collector as such. Call it more of an active interest.
I just saw this machine and knew I had to have it... more for investment reasons knowing it is rare and thinking I could hopefully make a few quid on it LOL

In the house I have an 8 month old Sebo X4 Pet, 4 month old Henry (2013 version with wand docking) and a 2 month old Dyson DC41 Animal Complete (although I'm thinking of selling the Dyson as I don't need all 3 machines).

I also have a VERY abused DC07 origin in the shed that gets used on the cars and DIY jobs ect ect


I apologise for all the links. I couldn't figure out how to get the pics to show in the thread itself. I tried the IMG code like I would use on the car forums I'm on but that failed to work

Oh and I forgot to mention I have a Numatic George! I've had him about 3 and a half years now and he is used purely as a carpet washer. All the dry tools are un-used still and he tends to only come out of his box once or twice a year. I don't really like him as a dry vac as he is noisy and the dry use hose is short

Great find! I saw this on ebay. This machine is VERY rare, few of them were made. It's a shame really, as they were great machines.

I'm sure you'll take good care of it!

Will it be in more demand than a cream and brown henry?
I bought it purely with the intention of making some profit on it haha
I'm not sure how 'in demand' it will be though given its an upright as they're not something Numatic are really known for.

A small part of me is tempted to keep it....

Hmmm I see.... How much do the cream and brown Henry's tend to go for if they're complete and fully working?

It all depends on the condition of the machine. If it was on sale to the general public it wouldn't go for as much as a collector would pay.

I bought the machine purely with the intent of advertising it properly and selling it at a profit to somebody who knows how rare the machine is and I'd been hoping to get £150+. However now that I have it I'm tempted to keep it for a while for myself!

Beko1987 I've given the machine a mega quick wipe over but my heart really isn't in giving it a full refurb at the moment. Plus I feel when I do come to sell it on it would be better in its 'original' condition as it means a true collector can have the enjoyment of transforming it. I may however try and source a replacement handle and a bump guard while I have the machine in my possession so I could supply any future owner with the two parts the machine could ideally do with to return it to its former glory.

I used to collect vacuums when I was younger and I had some pretty good machines. I think my favourite two were a Hoover Concept with the power drive system and cord rewind. Also a 'as new' Turbomaster Freedom. I really regret parting with some of these machines now so having this rare Numatic is making me question if I want to start off another collection.... Plus I'm wondering if I DID part with it would I regret it in the future
