What are you talking about, the Portapower II Supreme with powernozzle being rare?! That particular canister vacuum was VERY COMMON here in Ontario. It sold in Zellers for $169.99 back in the mid 1990's, same as the Tempo 450 above, but it also had a tool rack with dusting, crevice & upholstery tools, not just combo brush. But no bare floor brush included, & you got only 1 row of bristles on the brushroll. Back in the mid 90's, it would have been Hoover's BOL powernozzle canister, one step below the red Encore Supreme that Kmart sold for $199.99, that had the steel wands & floor brush included. So naturally all the thrifty consumers flocked to Zellers & it sold like hotcakes LOL, they could barely keep the Portapower II in stock!
Kenny: Yes, the Type R bags were small, but there was an optional Type R kevlar cloth shakeout bag for this series of cleaner. I bought a Portapower II Supreme myself, & the very first things I did was upgrade the brushroll, upgrade to steel wands, order the Type R kevlar shakeout bag, & bought a bare floor brush to go with it. It saw active duty with my BOL Hoover Encore upright, the one that looked like an Elite 200 but in red. I believe the kevlar shakeout bag was about $30 CDN dollars, or just slightly more than that. I eventually traded it to my foster mom for her Hoover Elite Supreme hardbody that was navy blue when I grew to dislike the Portapower, she thinks to this day the Portapower is a horrible vacuum & thinks she got shafted when I made that trade. And of course I'm not giving the Elite back

. What a horrible son I am LOL.
