Heres one for the eureka fans... an oddball I found. Helping my friend clean out his shop, he came across this and offered it to me. I ended up with it, its a great machine! Functions fine. I can't remember what made this "Limited Edition" but if you big brains on eurekas know, I would like to know.

Here's a video of it running, yes this is my video.

That is soooo cool! Never saw a Eureka like that! Indeed probably a JC Penney exclusive.

It’s got elements of a really low budget Eureka (white cord, step-on foot switch, plastic handle) combined with elements of a much more high end deluxe Eureka (Precision-style motor hood, Rugulator instead of DialaNap, headlight, full height bumper, fancy dust bag pattern).

How many amps is the motor? And is there a regular Disturbulator brush roll under the hood? Or a Vibra-Groomer?

Nice score & video.

I was only able to find a couple Fall 1991 newspaper ads on an online newspaper database, so it was likely only marketed from circa 1991 to 1992. Happy "Eureka-ing"!

____________

Brian, to me the hood resembles an Ultra's.

Thanks everybody…

Glad you guys like it…

For eurekaprince, this is a 5 amp motor. I’m am not sure what kind of brush roller it has because I don’t know much about the old the eurekas as well, it it does have a eureka styled Hoover ibaisaic’s which is the roll of bristles and a beater bar.

Brush Roll Type

According to the 1991 Eureka catalog page that someone posted on another thread the model 1925 has a Disturbulator brush roll.

Definitely a budget Eureka with some deluxe features…only 5 amp motor with standard Eureka brush roll.

Paul…indeed the motor hood is similar to the one on the Ultra but there are definite differences. The first time this exact motor hood appeared was on the Eureka Precision - about 1988.

Found it also

listed and shown in a 1990/91 Best Merchandise Catalog. Eureka Model 1925AT. All of the Eureka models here have either an AT or letter A after the numeral, not sure what that stands for. Anyway, says it has a 5amp motor, 6pc.attachments, no top tool conversion, slide adj.carpet height,20ft.cord,hood light,F&G bags, shipping weight 18lbs. srt 119.95/ their price 99.95

Their TOL Eureka is the self propelled 5150 with 7.5 amp motor is one I considered but back then 249.94 was a little steep for me so...

This 1925AT was second from the bottom price wise in this catalog, 69.95 being the lowest priced model they carried, model 1435A.

@Brian - Thanks for the info.!

@billy - Going by an online model-type list there were 2 types of the model 1925: A & AT. I have a hunch that the T was simply added to denote the inclusion of the tools with the purchase of the cleaner.

Looks like

the J.C. Penny model had a half amp,(5.5), larger motor than others I've seen. New for '92? In any case that cleaner looks to be in very nice condition, a definite keeper. The wrap around headlight is a deluxe feature for sure.

Thanks for posting that, Declan. The manufacturer's label is always useful for current knowledge and future reference.

------------

All, I think the model 1925's uniqueness and limited production may indicate Eureka’s use of leftover stock.

TO TELL THE TRUTH

As Bud Collyer used to say on the television game show TO TELL THE TRUTH, "Will the real ____ please stand up?" Well, I happened to find another Eureka 1925-A online that has the customary F & G hood. The other Precisions are in the 5100 Series. That makes me wonder if Declan's is the imposter? Have a look:

Hi Paul, that Eureka you found on Chicago Craigslist is a 1935A model. It's a 3 not a 2. Looks like the serial starts with "89", 1989.

Thanks for the correction, Huskyvacs! Guess I'll stick with WHAT'S MY LINE and ask a question like John Charles Daly, "Would you come in and sign in, please?" That way, I'd know the vac model number for sure! haha

Appreciate the vid link, too.
