Rainbow Silver Hose With Gold Canister Body And PN?

So I'm told that when the E2 series debuted (1 speed or 2 speed), the only hoses that were available with it were not gold/brown colored. They were only grey/silver?

If this is true, does anybody know why Rainbow would intentionally mis-match the gold/brown canister and power nozzle with a silver/grey hose? Seems really weird to me.

I recently bought cleaned up and sold. I'm not sure on mixmatch it could be all 2 speeds shared same pn the gold is just a colored logo on a piece of thick card stock paper. Gold blue silver black. Idk I think it's just color of pn. I could be wrong but just guessing.
