Is there any benefit to the OEM brushroll with the plastic beater bars compared to a generic one with two rows of brushes and ball bearings? Does one clean better than the other. Im asking because the beater bars have been discontinued and dont want to take the time to try and find some if theres really no benefit to them.

Some knowledge

I do know this much about a Rainbow power nozzle... if you have the large rectangular style from the early 80's to early 90's, the most important parts for cleaning ability for it is that it has a like new belt, the brushes stay in good shape, AND you want that foam gasket around the bottom plate to be in like new condition so that it completely seals the bottom plate to the housing of the nozzle. You don't want any air leakage. Aside from all of that, I don't think beater bars versus all brushes makes a lot of difference. Just my opinion.

The all-brush ball bearing brush roll cleans a lot better than the beater bar/brush style.

I have had 12 on back order for almost a year with both of my suppliers. I don't know if they have been discontinued or not, but I only have one left. Get one while you can.
